Past participants of The Straits Times Run will be familiar with one pre-run dash - to collect their race packs.

This year will be no different, for runners can look forward to more goodies stuffed inside the blue tote bag. These include a New Balance "NB Dry" vest worth $49, a $200 Mobot cash voucher for buying e-mobility devices and True Fitness 10-day passes worth $110.

The Mobot cash voucher is new, replacing the travel discount vouchers, also worth $200, that runners received last year.

Each runner will also get an ST Run sweatband and tote bag, as well as 40 per cent discount vouchers for all Compressport merchandise.

Collection of the race packs will take place from July 6 to 9, between 11am and 8pm, at the Suntec City North Atrium.

Those looking to stand out from the crowd on race day have the option of customising the design of their race vest. This can be done on-site at the race pack collection point for a small fee. Half of the proceeds from this will be donated to The Straits Times School Pocket Money Fund.

Presenting sponsor Panasonic will be giving out VeggieLife salad bowls to the first 150 participants to collect their packs on each of the four days.

In addition, there will be booths from sponsors Panasonic, Great Eastern, Standard Chartered Bank, Compressport, True Fitness, Young Generation and SPH Subscription at Suntec City, where runners can expect good discounts and deals.

The fifth edition of the ST Run, to be held on July 16, marks the first time different designs of the finishers' tees will be offered.

There will be one for those competing in the 18.45km race and another for those in the 5km and 10km categories.

In another first, all routes this year will end at the Padang, where a post-race carnival will be held.

The routes will take participants past various iconic sights in the heart of the city, such as Marina Bay Sands, Esplanade Bridge and the Singapore Flyer.
