Over $30,000 raised at Singapore International Culture Festival dinner

A performer swallowing fire during the Singapore International Culture Festival charity awards dinner held by the Singapore Youth Culture and Arts Centre (SYCA) on July 28. The 2024 festival featured a martial arts competition, exhibitions by contemporary calligraphy and painting masters, and a charity
awards dinner. A total of $30,180 will be donated to three charities: The Straits Times School Pocket Money Fund, The Business Times Budding Artists Fund and New Hope Community Services. SYCA said it aims to contribute to the community by serving the needy, as well as cultivate a spirit of philanthropy and social responsibility among its youth participants. ST PHOTO: GAVIN FOO
