Gaining life skills at the supermart

Kugann Kumar lifting a sack of potatoes at the Sheng Siong supermarket in The Cathay under the guidance of Tokio Marine Life Insurance Singapore (TMLS) staff volunteer Ng Yi Xuan. The nine-year-old was among more than 60 children who learnt about eating well and spending wisely at a workshop on Sept 10. Each child was given $60 in grocery vouchers to put the lessons into practice. Hosted by TMLS and The Straits Times School Pocket Money Fund, the workshop, Tokio Marine Healthy Wallet Heroes, focused on balanced nutrition and budget management. TMLS also donated $10,000 to the fund to support children from lower-income families.
